Step 3: Prepare the Garment Lay your garment flat on the heat press. Apply light pressure with the press for 3–5 seconds to remove any moisture and wrinkles from the fabric. This step ensures a smooth surface for the transfer.
Step 4: Position the Transfer Place the DTF transfer on the garment with the printed side facing down. Adjust the position of the transfer to ensure it is aligned correctly. Take your time to position it perfectly, as this will affect the final result.
Step 5: Press the Transfer Close the heat press and apply the transfer for the recommended time. Each transfer comes with specific instructions, so be sure to follow them closely. Typically, this involves pressing for around 10–15 seconds with medium pressure.
Step 6: Cool and Peel After turning off the heat press, wait 7–10 seconds. Then, remove the garment and let it cool for an additional 10–15 seconds. Once cooled, carefully peel the transfer sheet off the garment. Start from one corner and peel gently to ensure the transfer has adhered properly.
